Organizing your closet can actually help save time every day. Closets store so many things needed daily, such as clothes, shoes, coats, hats, etc. If your closet isn’t organized, you could spend a lot of time sorting through it looking for different items. Streamline your day simply by arranging your closet in an orderly fashion.
Come up with a system
Everyone has a different system for organizing their closet. Your system doesn’t have to make sense to everyone, just to you. Your system may be based on sorting items by color, by how often they’re used, by season or by what part of your body they cover. To come up with your system, think about how you normally sort through your closet. Do you start with one item before another, or do you just look around until you find something that catches your eye?
Stick to the system
Once you have a system in place, follow through with it. If you pick an item and then change your mind, be sure to put it back in its place. This will help avoid confusion afterwards. If you notice an item is out of place, take a second to put it back into its correct spot. Clearly labeled bins can also help the system.
Save time
Now that your closet is organized, you can wake up and know exactly where each item is located. You won’t have to spend a long time looking for what you need, just scan everything quickly and pick what you want to wear for the day. You might find you’re less stressed and rushed in the morning, giving you more time in your day.
